Designation: The Purchasing and Inventory Control Coordinator
**The Purchasing and Inventory Control Coordinator provides support in the administration, purchasing, tracking, and monitoring of inventory.
**Must be able to work efficiently and seamlessly with other divisions within Southern Crescent & MyHealthcare Shoppe to drive improvements.
**Continuously improve the process as an individual and as team member.
**Must be able to communicate good or moderate in English, writing and speaking as manufacturers are based outside of Malaysia.
Specific duties:
**Provides day-to-day accountability for supply inventories, monitoring volumes, flow, and sourcing.
**Responsible for overseeing all inventory control activities within Southern Crescent and MyHealthcare Shoppe.
**Applies correct cycle count and other standard operations procedures.
**Anticipates supply needs and communicates potential interruptions to Manager/Supervisor.
**Coordination of shipping, receiving, and storage of all goods in the office or warehouse (store).
**Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from manufacturers; obtaining approval from Manager.
**Maintain open communication with employees and ensure their purchase orders of operation concerns are reviewed and addressed in a timely manner.
**Manage and create visibility for manufacturer delivery dates.
**Proactively and independently identify potential inventory shortages and communicate to Manager.
**Coordinate write down schedule of aging inventory.
Leads product recalls and product returns.
**Ensure physical inventory activity is executed according to documented processes.
**Conduct inspections of the store.
**Reviews inventory transactions for abnormalities, and works to resolve system discrepancies or change inadequate.
**Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
**Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
**Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
