Radio-Frequency Treatment for Cervical Spine Case #2
This cervical spine case was conducted on 27th February 2021 at a hospital in Negeri Sembilan. The procedure was conducted by an Orthopaedic/Spine surgeon on 30 years old man. The patient complained of pain in his neck, radiating to his left hand.
The patient was diagnosed to have degenerated and bulging C5C6 – C6C7 cervical disc with left radiculopathy. The patient was treated with Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA) to his cervical spine, which included RF of Facet Joints and the RF of the Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG).
The RF procedure is a minimally invasive interventional pain management technique to treat cervical spine problems/pain, without surgery. It is a very safe and effective method of reducing pain. In addition, the patient used Trac-collar from Southern Crescent Sdn Bhd to get further relief by doing self neck-traction exercise at home.
