Radio Frequency Treatment for L4L5 Lumbar Spine Case #3
The case was conducted on 13 March 2021 at a hospital in Selangor. The procedure was performed by an Orthopedic/Spine surgeon on a 28 -year -old man. The patient complained of pain in the left leg and associated with numbness.
Figure 1 showed the needle placed at the Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) L3L4 and L4L5 levels.
From the MRI examination, he was diagnosed to have prolapsed disc with radiculopathy. The patient has treated with a Radio Frequency Ablation (RFA) procedure to L3L4 and L4L5 using the RF Dorsal Root Ganglion method.
The RF procedure is a minimally invasive interventional pain management technique to treat pain in the area. It is a very safe and effective method of reducing pain.
